Meet Our Team

Dr. Subramanian grew up watching her father uplift his community in India by educating underprivileged families who lacked access to quality schooling. His work didn’t just improve lives in the moment. It planted seeds for future generations to thrive. Those same values of generosity and empowerment were deeply rooted in Rekha from an early age.

Years later, when her own son developed an interest in robotics, he discovered his middle school didn’t offer a program. So he turned to his mom and asked her to start one - not just for him, but for everyone. Rekha made it happen. What began as a school club quickly grew into something more. Even after she left the school, families from the community kept reaching out, asking her to build something permanent.

With her children off to college and a garage full of tools and heart, she launched Mythri STEM Academy. It started small...just Rekha, a handful of students, and a belief that every kid deserves access to STEM education.
